100 People Tested During COVID-19 Drive-Through on Lāna‘i
An estimated 100 people were tested Saturday, April 25, in a COVID-19 drive-through testing site at the old Dole Administration Building in Lānaʻi City.
To date, a total of about 350 individuals have been tested on Lānaʻi, which remains the only island in Maui County with zero confirmed cases.
“I want to extend a deep and heartfelt mahalo Straub Medical Center-Lānaʻi Clinic and the Lānaʻi Community Health Center for helping to provide this testing for our people on Lānaʻi,” Maui Mayor Michael Victorino said. “I also want to thank Pūlama Lānaʻi, Lānaʻi police and the Hawaii National Guard for partnering with us to setup Saturday’s drive-through event. It’s so important for us to continue to protect the health and safety of our Lānaʻi community, and try to prevent any COVID-19 cases from entering the island.”
Testing is available Monday through Saturday at the two Lānaʻi clinics. Individuals who live on Lānaʻi and would like to make an appointment, can call 565-6423 for Straub Medical Center Lānaʻi Clinic and 565-6919 for the Lānaʻi Community Health Center.
