Maui County Federal Credit Union Wailuku Branch Resumes Normal Hours of Operation

Effective May 11, 2020, Maui County Federal Credit Union (FCU)’s Wailuku branch will resume its normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Lahaina branch hours will remain the same with hours of operation Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Maui Marketplace Kahului branch will remain closed to serve as the call center and as a backup if the Wailuku branch is impacted by a COVID-19 positive case and needs to be closed.

“Since Maui County’s ‘stay-at-home and work-from-home’ orders remain in effect through May 31, 2020, members are encouraged to use Maui County FCU’s free online banking and mobile app to conveniently deposit checks, make a loan payment, check balances and transfer funds at any time from the comfort of your home,” according to an FCU announcement.

“Our highest priority is always the health and safety of our employees and members. In doing so, we are taking a gradual approach to getting back to normal hours of operation across all three of our branches. We will continue to implement measures to ensure that we’re taking precautions to protect our employees and members while remaining operational and providing quality service for our members,” said Maui County Federal Credit Union President and CEO, Gary Fukuroku.

Maui County FCU precautions include:

• Creating more space between member service representatives by opening every other teller window at branches
• Providing plexiglass shields for member facing employees
• Allowing no more than five members in the branch at a time and ensuring that members are physically distanced at least six feet apart while in line or at an ATM
• Requiring all members and employees to wear masks in public spaces
• High touch surfaces are wiped down frequently
• Holding meetings virtually instead of in-person
• Employees’ workspaces have been modified to be at least six feet apart from each other
