Maui Mayor Michael Victorino provides his daily update on COVID-19 response in Maui County and offers some clarification on the Governor’s latest “Safer-at-Home” order for phased reopening of businesses in Hawaiʻi.

Managing Director Sandy Baz said retail and shopping malls will not be opening tomorrow like many other locations across the state, and will instead open on Monday, May 11 for Maui County.

County officials say this gives businesses time to prepare properly for reopening.  Businesses included on the list may choose to open after May 11, depending on readiness.
