Swell Summary

North shore surf will be pumping during the next week, with series of large northwest swells moving through the area. The current northwest swell will bring marginal advisory level surf to exposed north facing shores today. This swell will drop below advisory levels tonight and Wednesday. A new north-northwest swell will rapidly build Wednesday night, with warning level surf expected along exposed north and west facing shores for Thursday. This swell will lower Thursday night and Friday, but surf will likely remain at advisory levels. An even larger northwest swell is then forecast to build Friday night, with solid warning level surf expected again on Saturday. This swell will lower Sunday and Sunday night, with yet another warning level swell due in early next week.

Short period surf along east facing shores will remain small through the week and over the weekend due to the lack of trade winds upstream of the state. Surf along south facing shores will remain small through the week, although a bit of a boost is expected from a small south- southwest swell Wednesday through Thursday, and from a south-southeast swell over the weekend.
