Maui Girls 12U Soccer Team wins gold championship in Oregon

The Maui Girls 12U Soccer Team took home a win at the Adidas Beaverton Cup in Beaverton, Oregon, last weekend, securing the championship in the 12U Girls Gold Division.

The Maui Girls team also finished second place in the u13/u14 Portland City United Soccer Tournament Gold Division, narrowly missing out on first place in a close shootout.

Earlier in the year, the Maui Girls claimed the championship in the silver division at the 2024 Hawaii Youth Soccer Association President’s State Cup on Oʻahu in February. Coach Chazz Ka’aihue expressed pride in the team’s performance. “We are proud of our Maui Girls for their dedication and achievements. I am honored to be your coach,” he said.

The Maui Girls 12U Soccer Team includes Ciara Abbey-Boteilho, Hina Artates, Aubrey Burgart, Aria Christensen, Nyra Chun, Zoe Felicilda, Cobie Ito, ‘Ale’alani Mata, Kendall Mike, Jah’zell Kekona-Cluney, Anela Prim, Harlee Sacapanio, Albany Shedd, Taylor Shipp and Rylee Souza-Kailiehu.
