Territorial Savings Bank donates to Nā Hale O Maui, continuing strong community support for affordable housing

Territorial Savings Bank has generously donated $37,026 to Nā Hale O Maui, marking the fourth consecutive year of their annual support. Since 2021, Territorial Savings Bank’s contributions have been crucial in funding NHOM’s financial literacy and homeownership education programs.
Since the inception of this partnership, TSB’s donations have enabled NHOM to expand its outreach and enhance its educational programs. These initiatives cover a range of topics, including financial management, credit building, and the Community Land Trust model, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for the responsibilities of homeownership.
Naomi Rondinelli, Branch Manager for Territorial Savings Bank, delivered the check to the NHOM office in Wailuku. She expressed TSB’s commitment underscores its dedication to community growth and financial well-being.
“We are incredibly thankful for TSB’s continued partnership,” said NHOM’s Executive Director, Cassandra Abdul. “Their contributions have been vital in helping families prepare for successful homeownership.”
Nā Hale O Maui, a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to providing affordable homes for Maui’s working-class families since 2006. It is Nā Hale O Maui’s mission to “Secure and preserve a permanent supply of affordable housing alternatives for low- and moderate-income households in Maui County.” A key aspect of this mission is ensuring these homes remain affordable in perpetuity, homeowner after homeowner, family after family, for generations to come.
