Maui Farm Events announces special fall happenings
Local farms, artisans and cultural guides are collaborating to bring unique, hands-on experiences that celebrate Maui’s natural beauty and resources this fall.
The upcoming lineup, announced by Maui Farm Events, includes a myriad of workshops and classes designed to inspire creativity and self-care, while immersing participants in local flora, food and traditions.
Participants can choose from the following Fall Special Events taking place in October and November:
Lei Po’o Workshop (Oct. 10 and Nov. 14)
The Lei Poʻo Workshop is an immersive three-hour workshop on the art of crafting a traditional lei poʻo (head lei). Guided by Lei Maui owner, Caitlyn Madrid, participants will work with local foliage and vibrant flowers, mastering the intricate wili (twist) technique.
This hands-on experience provides an opportunity to explore pattern design and floral preparation, leaving participants with a beautifully crafted lei po’o and a deeper appreciation for this timeless Hawaiian tradition.
The Lei Po’o Workshop happens at Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm in Launiupoko from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 and Nov. 14.
Keiki Stargazing Event (Oct. 11)
Maui’s own Stargazers Anonymous will host a Keiki Stargazing Event at Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm on Oct. 11.
This interactive experience allows children to explore the wonders of the night sky, learning about constellations, planets and celestial phenomena through telescopes and expert guidance. Keiki-friendly snacks will be provided.
The Keiki Stargazing Event will occur from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm in Launiupoko.
Tea Blending Workshop (Oct. 19)
A tea blending workshop led by Maui Tea Shack takes place at Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm on Oct. 19.
Maui Tea Shack owner Melissa McLaughlin will guide participants in crafting three seasonal tea blends using organic, island-inspired ingredients. Learn about the unique wellness properties of each ingredient while creating blends that soothe, energize, and promote balance. The experience includes a guided tea tasting, with each blend paired thoughtfully with light snacks.
The Tea Blending Workshop will happen from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Lahaina Honey & Flower Farm in Launiupoko.
Starry Nights and Culinary Delights (Oct. 25 and Nov. 8)
Combining a dinner at Haliʻimaile General Store with a stargazing session is “Starry Nights and Culinary Delights” on Oct. 25 and Nov. 8.
Begin the evening with a dinner at the Haliʻimaile General Store, where Maui’s local ingredients take center stage. Afterward, venture to a private event deck within the serene Maui Gold Pineapple Farm for a stargazing session led by Maui’s Stargazers Anonymous. Under the vast island sky, enjoy a guided exploration of the stars with expert commentary.
Starry Nights and Culinary Delights takes place Oct. 25 and Nov. 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Maui Gold Pineapple Farm in Hali’imaile
