State ID Available at Hana Outreach

The state will be processing Hawaii Identification Cards in Hana next week.

The outreach for East Maui will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, at the Maui County Council office located at 5101 Uakea Road #A1 in Hana.

“Members of the community that have difficulty with the long commute to Wailuku will be able to obtain Hawaii identification cards,” said East Maui Council Member Bob Carroll.

The Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center will be accepting and processing applications in the order that they are received.

Applicants must provide proof of residence, and show proof of identification with certified original documents.

US citizens must provide a Social Security card, an official birth certificate, a valid US passport, certificate of birth abroad, or a certificate of citizenship or naturalization.

Non-citizens must provide a permanent resident card / employment authorization card, or an unexpired foreign passport with a valid visa / I-94 card.   Foreign students must provide an I-20 / DS2019 form.

If applicable, applicants must also provide a marriage certificate, divorce decree, annulment decree, decree of legal name change, or decree of adoption.
