A High Surf Advisory has been issued for Maui’s north facing shores by the National Weather Service in Honolulu.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service indicate that surf will reach 10 to 16 feet from 6 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, until Thursday, January 12 at 6 a.m.

As a result of the high surf, there will be localized beach erosion and rip currents on Maui’s north shores.
