BRIEF: Police investigation forces closure of Hāna Hwy between Holomua and Haʻikū roads

The Hāna Highway is closed between Holomua Road and Haʻikū Road due to a police investigation.
At 8:11 a.m., Maui Police Department spokesperson Alana Pico noted that Hoʻokipa Beach Park is open and accessible from the Haʻikū side only. Police say the road reopening is expected within an hour.
Details surrounding the investigation are pending release.
