Mokulele Airlines expands inter-island fleet with three new aircraft

Mokulele Airlines added three new Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft to its inter-island fleet Thursday. Airline staff hosted blessing ceremonies on Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi, and in Honolulu to launch the expansion.

The newly manufactured planes will integrate into the existing flight schedule to expand capacity and strengthen service reliability, company officials said.

Mokulele officials also opened a newly renovated Terminal 3 facility at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. Employees blessed each aircraft at its home station between scheduled arrivals and departures.

“Renewing our fleet and stations reflects our commitment to listening and meeting the evolving needs of the communities we serve,” Mokulele Airlines Vice President of Airports and Stations Gary McKoy said. “These improvements are an important step in strengthening our service across Hawaiʻi and responding to the feedback we receive. Through these blessing ceremonies, we reaffirm our commitment to serving Hawaiʻi and recognize the trust local residents place in us every time they fly.”
