The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation notifies road users that the traffic signal at the Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) and Kai Hele Kū Street will be dark from 8 p.m., Friday Oct. 23 to 6 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24.

Crews will be performing upgrades to the traffic signal and will be replacing the controller, cabinet and battery backup system. Motorists should treat the intersection as a four-way stop. Physical stop signs will be at the intersection and traffic control flaggers will assist motorists if needed. There will be no lane closures.

Motorists are asked to follow all traffic controls and drive safely around the workers.

All work is weather permitting.
