The Maui County Veterans Council invites the Maui community to attend the 2026 Veterans Day Ceremony and Community Picnic on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at War Memorial Gymnasium in Wailuku.

The event is open to everyone—veterans, military families, neighbors, students, educators, businesses and visitors. Admission and the community picnic are free for all attendees. Food will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Veterans Day ceremony begins at 9 a.m., followed by the community picnic at 11 a.m. The gathering is an opportunity for residents of all generations to come together, recognize the service and sacrifices of military veterans, and share in the spirit of aloha.

Veterans benefit information booths will also connect attendees with local organizations and resources supporting veterans and their families.

A Veterans Day Freedom Ride is also planned: riders meet at 9:15 a.m. at the QKC Sears parking lot in Kahului, depart at 10 a.m., and end the ride at War Memorial Gym for the Veterans Day event.
