Partial Maui Veterans Highway closure announced for Friday night to Saturday morning, weather permitting

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation reports that two northbound lanes on Maui Veterans Highway (Route 311) will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday at the intersection with Hansen Road in Puʻunēnē, for traffic signal work. 

North Kahului-bound traffic will be diverted into the left-turn lane.

Additionally, the straight/left-turn lane on Hansen Road heading westbound onto Maui Veterans Highway will also be closed. One lane will remain open for left turns and through traffic.

Crews will be replacing the traffic signal mast arm pole.

Motorists are asked to follow all traffic controls and drive safely around the workers.
