Pacific Wings airlines resumed partial service this morning (Friday, July 10, 2009) after suspending all flights on Wednesday and Thursday.

The company claims an airline employee was assaulted and injured by a Hawaii Department of Transportation Contractor.

State Transportation officials dispute the assault claim saying security personnel visited the site on Tuesday to serve citations to the company for fuel storage and reporting violations involving a past spill.

Pacific Wings resumed partial service wit a 6:15 a.m. flight between Maui and Molokai and a 7 a.m. flight from Molokai to Kalaupapa.  This afternoon there are also scheduled flights between Honolulu and Molokai, Molokai and Kalaupapa, Kalaupapa to Molokai, and Molokai to Kahului.
