Entries Sought for 4th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest

Student entries are being accepted for the Fourth Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest hosted by the Maui Department of Water Supply.
The contest is open to public, private and home-schooled students from kindergarten to 12th grade, with the entry deadline extended to March 15, 2013.
Each student who creates and submits an entry will receive a Certificate of Participation. A total of 18 prizes will be awarded with first ($100), second ($75) and third ($50) place prizes presented to winners in each competition level.
The department’s goal is to educate Maui County’s students on the importance of water conservation and encourage them to take an active role in ensuring the sustainability of Maui County’s water.
Student entries should portray the theme “Our Water, Our Future” and include a water conservation message in the artwork.
Students may draw or paint their entry on 11” x 17” white paper, and complete and attach the entry form available at www.mauiwater.org.
Contestants may drop off their entry form and artwork to the Department of Water Supply, Water Resources and Planning Division at 2200 Main Street, Suite 102 in Wailuku at One Main Plaza, or to the Deputy Director’s office on the 5th floor of the Kalana O Maui Building in Wailuku.

Entries must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2013 to be considered.
