Hikers Rescued After Spending Night at Maui’s Commando Trail
Two brothers were rescued this morning after spending the night on an inaccessible ridge on a trail in East Maui. The Maui hikers, ages 17 and 27, were reported missing at around 9:30 last night (Sunday), when they failed to return home after a hike on the Commando Trail above Kailua along the Hana Highway.
UPDATE: Molokai Island-Wide Outage, Power Restored
A large tree brought down several power poles and electrical lines in Kualapuu, Molokai on Saturday afternoon resulting in an island-wide power outage. The incident was reported at around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012.

A large tree fell in Kahului Saturday afternoon, blocking both lanes of Puunene Avenue. The incident was reported at 2 p.m. on Puunene Avenue between Wakea Avenue and West Kauai Street.
