Motorcyclist Dies of Injuries in Old Haleakalā Highway Crash

A Maui man has since succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash reported on Saturday, June 7, 2014, on the Old Haleakalā Highway in Pukalani. Police have identified the man as Russell Szabo, 50, of Kula.

30th Fire Recruit Class to Undergo Probationary Evaluation

Since their graduation in December, recruits were placed on rotational assignments with fire stations across the county for “real time” experience in the field. Upon successful completion of the evaluation, the recruits will be granted permanent full time firefighter status.
