Services for all five passengers who lost their lives in a tragic weekend car crash in Kula, Maui have been set. The first memorial takes place this Friday, March 30, 2012 for 20-year-old Karl Barrack of Makawao. A week later, on Friday, April 6, a service will be held for 20-year-old Ambrose Pua Momoa Jr. of Wailuku.

“Unfortunately it is very sad circumstances that brought out the community; but of course this is really Maui style–you have a problem and everybody comes together to try to be the source of the solution.” April will be declared Alcohol Awareness month in Maui County.

The proposal calls for a new four-lane arterial between Puunene Avenue and Hana Highway with intersections at Dairy Road, Pakaula Street and the Hana Highway.
