Memorial Services Set for All 5 Kula Crash Victims

Services for all five passengers who lost their lives in a tragic weekend car crash in Kula, Maui have been set. The first memorial takes place this Friday, March 30, 2012 for 20-year-old Karl Barrack of Makawao. A week later, on Friday, April 6, a service will be held for 20-year-old Ambrose Pua Momoa Jr. of Wailuku.

The man was barely able to swim and incoherent when he was pulled aboard the Teralani vessel about a mile off of Hanakao’o Beach in Lahaina.

Timing of Maui Underage Drinking Meeting “Incredible”

The County felt it was important to inform the community about the meeting considering the fatal crash on Sunday that claimed the lives of five young adults. While the accident remains under investigation, police say they suspect alcohol and speed as factors in the crash, that was reported just south of the King Kekaulike campus near the Kula 200 Hoopalua subdivision.
