There were 144 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Thursday, including 118 on O‘ahu, 14 on Maui, seven on Hawaiʻi Island, two on Kauaʻi and three in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui count today included cases in Kahului, Kīhei and Lahaina.
Dec. 2, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 78 New Cases (63 O‘ahu, 4 Maui, 1 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Kaua‘i, 9 Out-of-State)
There were 78 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Wednesday, including 63 on O‘ahu, four on Maui, one each on Hawaiʻi Island and Kauaʻi and nine in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui count today included cases in Lahaina and Kula. Both Kīhei and Lahaina have a medium range of infections with 41 cases reported in Kīhei in the last 14 days, and 23 cases in Lahaina reported over the same period.

There were 44 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Tuesday, including 32 on O‘ahu, five on Maui and six on Hawai‘i Island. Maui count today included cases in Kīhei, Lahaina and Makawao. Kīhei darkened to the medium range two weeks ago with 41 cases reported there in the last 14 days. Lahaina is also in the medium range with 19 cases reported over the same period.
House COVID-19 Committee Offers Recommendations on State’s Pre-Travel Testing Program
The House Select Committee on COVID-19 Economic and Financial Preparedness sent a proposal to Governor David Ige and the Mayors of all four counties to modify the State’s Safe Travels Hawaiʻi Program which requires travelers coming to Hawaiʻi have a negative COVID-19 test before boarding their plane.

There were 85 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Monday, including 66 on O‘ahu, nine on Maui, four on Hawai‘i Island, one each on Moloka‘i and Kaua‘i, and four in residents diagnosed outside of the state. Maui cases included five in Lahaina, three in Kīhei and one each in Kahului and on the island of Molokaʻi. Kīhei darkened to the medium range two weeks ago with 37 cases reported there in the last 14 days. Lahaina is also in the medium range with 19 cases reported over the same period.

Hawai‘i’s New Tightened Restrictions on Trans-Pacific and International Travel Starts Today
Governor David Ige signed a 16th COVID-19 emergency proclamation requiring all transpacific travelers to have a negative test result from a trusted travel partner before their departure for the State of Hawai‘i, in order to bypass the 14-day quarantine. The new policy takes effect today, Tuesday, Nov. 24, as COVID cases surge on the mainland.

There were 114 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 80 on O‘ahu, 11 on Maui, 10 on Hawai‘i Island, three on Kaua‘i, and 10 in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. Maui cases included four cases in Lahaina, three in Kīhei, two in Makawao and one each in Kahului and Wailuku. BREAKING: Pre-Travel COVID-19 Test Results Must Be In Hand Prior to Departure for Hawai‘i
Governor David Ige announced today that starting on Nov. 24, travelers wishing to bypass the 14-day mandatory quarantine must have their COVID-19 test results – from a trusted testing partner – prior to departure for the State of Hawaiʻi.
