UH Maui College joins with other groups to celebrate Arbor Month

Maui Nui Botanical Gardens and Maui Association of Landscape Professionals are co-hosting the 22nd annual Arbor Day Garden Expo and Hawaiian Tree Giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025. Two thousand free trees will be available one per person, any age, with information about tree selection and care.

Resident feedback to help shape community forest plan for Maui island

The County of Maui Department of Management encourages residents to help shape an urban forest management plan for Maui island — titled He Nohona ʻUlu: Maui’s Community Forest Plan — by attending in-person events in Kahului on Nov 8 and 15, and completing an online survey.

Nominations open for Mālama i ka ʻĀina Award recognizing invasive species prevention

Since 2003, this collaborative partnership has presented the annual Mālama i ka ʻĀina Award to landscapers, plant providers (including retail and wholesale nurseries and garden shops), or commercial/agricultural property owners and managers who demonstrate dedication to keeping invasive species out of Maui County.
