Central Maui Transit Hub expected to get certificate of occupancy April 26
The Central Maui Transit Hub is expected to open this month, according to Department of Transportation Director Marc Takamori. The opening will end Maui Bus traffic within the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center.
Starting in July, Paratransit Monthly Pass Replaced by Coupon Book
Monthly and daily passes for riders on paratransit buses operated by Maui Economic Opportunity will be eliminated and replaced with a coupon booklet program beginning July 1, 2021.
Maui Bus to Reduce Fares for Seniors, Disabled and Others, July 1
The County of Maui Department of Transportation announced that beginning Monday, July 1, 2019, the Maui Bus is implementing reduced single boarding fares of $1.00 for fixed route service. This reduced fare applies to seniors (55 years & older), paratransit eligible and person with a disability (with pertinent valid ID), and Medicare card holders.
