Dawn Joao-Harris earns CDL on Molokaʻi, helps restore MEO bus routes
Dawn Joao-Harris became the second Molokaʻi resident to earn a Commercial Driver’s License through an Maui Economic Opportunity training program and will allow MEO to restore five routes on the island suspended due to a driver shortage.
Four additional school bus routes to be restored on Monday
Four previously suspended school bus routes in Central Oʻahu and East Hawaiʻi Island will be reinstated starting Monday, Sept. 30. The Hawai‘i State Department of Education reports this will result in the restoration of service to more than 70 student bus riders at three schools.
MEO Transportation looking for paratransit, Human Services drivers
CDL and non-CDL positions are available in Human Services transportation and non-CDL positions in paratransit. MEO operates The Maui Bus ADA paratransit curb-to-curb transportation and the County of Maui Human Services transportation, which takes qualified riders to their jobs, medical appointments, dialysis, shopping and other destinations.
