The Maui Police Department will host a child safety seat inspection event within the Maui Marketplace parking lot from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The event is held in collaboration with the Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition, the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Click It or Ticket, national seat belt awareness campaign netted 270 seatbelt violations and 217 violations for using a mobile electronic device while driving. There were also citations issued for other violations.

Officers issued a total of 2,351 citations including 615 for seatbelt violations, 28 for child restraint violations, 12 for pick-up truck restrictions and 180..
