‘Earth Night’ returns April 26 with poke contest, conservation groups, dive presentations and ‘Koholā’ film

Maui Ocean Center will host its second annual “Earth Night” event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Whale Tales 2025: exclusive film screening, presentations and whale watches on Maui

Whale Trust hosts the 19th Annual Whale Tales event, taking place Feb. 13-17 at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua. This year’s gathering offers an inspiring setting to connect with like-minded marine enthusiasts, featuring presentations by renowned scientists, conservationists, and photographers. Guests can also enjoy Benefit Whale Watches, an interactive Mauka to Makai Science Center featuring local organizations, and a Community Art Expo.

‘Welcome Back to Wailuku’ First Friday

In March of 2020, COVID precautions had caused sweeping closures of Maui’s Friday Town Parties. Over four years later, Wailuku First Fridays is making a comeback. The free community street party returns to Market Street on Aug. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
