The third meeting for the 100 Women Who Care Maui will be held on Aug. 27 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Maui Country Club (upstairs). Interested parties are asked to bring a “$100 blank check, a friend and a smile.”

BedMart Mattress Superstores, in partnership with Tempur-Pedic, donated 50 mattresses, worth approximately $85,000, to Maui Family Support Services Inc. for its program participants at the end of June.

What options are available for disposing of a mattress that is no longer needed?

The equipment will be used for both in- and out-patient clients, as well as those enrolled in the Cardiac Outpatient Program. A $15,000 donation was used to purchase physical and occupational therapy equipment on Maui.
