US Chief District Judge Derrick K. Watson on Tuesday sentenced Lyle Cummings, 47, of Maui, to 10 1/2 years of imprisonment and seven years of supervised release for attempted coercion and enticement of a child to engage in sexual activity and trafficking cocaine and crack.

The US House Committee on Appropriations recently approved $29.8 billion for the FY 2023 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations bill, which includes funding for financial programs to help small businesses and middle class families struggling with the high costs of inflation.

“The suspects under indictment today were identified as part of a major drug trafficking organization that has been supplying a significant amount of methamphetamine throughout the community,” said Chief of Police Todd G. Raybuck

Police on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, recovered approximately six pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine from a package intended for the Kona side of Hawaiʻi Island.

Twenty-two individuals were arrested today on Oʻahu and in California, after being named in six indictments returned by a federal grand jury.
