Event celebrating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities draws strong turnout
Arc of Maui County brought big smiles and even bigger hearts together this Valentine’s Day at its annual celebration for the IDD community–individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The nonprofit, which has been supporting the community for more than 70 years spreading love and connection by bringing together more than 160 attendees for an afternoon filled with laughter, dance, sweet treats, crafts, community connection and lots of love.
Imua Family Services celebrates 75 years
Imua Family Services was founded to provide physical therapy to children and adults suffering from the crippling effects of polio. The organization was first known as the Maui Unit of the National Society for Crippled Children and Adults. It was re-named “Easter Seals” in 1967, became “Imua Rehab” in 1991, and finally landed on “Imua Family Services” in 2003.
Christmas Tree Decorating Contest to Benefit Maui Non-Profits
The Marriott Maui Ocean Club hosts its 1st Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, benefiting various non-profit community groups in Maui County.
