Volunteers sought for unique archaeology intensive at Kēōkea-Waiohuli, Maui

Volunteers ages 16.5 to 23 years old are sought to participate in a spring break archaeology adventure at the Kēōkea-Waiohuli Hawaiian homelands. The free, six-day archaeology intensive begins March 15 at a 102-acre cultural reserve. There, students will learn to discover archaeological features; then identify, clear, and “adaptively” replant and reuse the ancient sites. 

Maui County reopens applications for newly expanded Green Grants Program

The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management (DEM) is reopening applications for its fiscal year 2025 Green Grants Program to support sustainability projects in Maui County.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection on April 7; Deadline to make an appointment is March 28

Residents wanting to dispose of household hazardous waste can do so at an upcoming event on Sunday, April 7, 2024. The event is by appointment only and the deadline to set an appointment is on March 28.
