Applicants are invited to attend a grants information session for the County of Maui Fiscal Year 2027 Environmental Protection and Sustainability Division Grants Program at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Applications opened Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for the County of Maui Office of Economic Development, Fiscal Year 2027 grant program, which supports projects and events that generate meaningful economic impact, strengthen local industries and enhance the overall well-being of Maui County residents. Deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. April 30, 2026.

Council Member Tom Cook will host a South Maui community town hall on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Malcolm Center to gather input on the council’s budget priorities.

Gov. Josh Green will submit the Supplemental Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) to the Legislature today, outlining a responsible and forward-looking plan that invests in affordable housing, climate, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and core services for residents, while also preparing for anticipated federal changes.

Next week, Mayor Richard Bissen and his administration will host community budget meetings in Pāiʻa-Haʻikū, West Maui and South Maui for residents to share their priorities and provide input on the budget for Fiscal Year 2027, which begins July 1, 2026.
