Haleakalā Summit Wind Advisory Cancelled

The National Weather Service has cancelled the wind advisory for the summits of Haleakalā, Mauna Loa, and Mauna Kea.Forecasters say winds over the volcanoes are diminishing, and the advisory is no longer needed.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected at the summit of Haleakala as high pressure northeast of the state produces strong easterly winds.
