The Hawai‘i Department of Health hosts a free, hybrid Colorectal Cancer Summit 2026 on Friday, July 24, to unite stakeholders in improving screening and care, with registration closing Thursday, July 23.

The Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) will conduct the 2026 Hawai‘i Teen Health and Media Survey over the next two months. Information collected will be used to develop and improve health programs and services for Hawaiʻi’s youth.

The Hawai‘i Department of Health is closely monitoring a positive wastewater sample for measles virus, which marks the first wastewater detection of the virus in the state. The sample was collected Aug. 11, 2025, at a site in West Hawai‘i County, and DOH was notified of the result on Aug. 26, 2025. No suspected measles cases have been reported as of Aug. 27, 2025.

The Hawai‘i Department of Health has identified a new case of travel-related dengue virus on Oʻahu. This is the first reported case of 2025. The affected traveler was exposed in a country where dengue is common.
