Three Deputy Sheriff Sergeants were promoted to Lieutenant at an official promotion and pinning ceremony held Wednesday.

In recent days, several people have called the Sheriff Division to report an individual claiming to be a Deputy Sheriff, an employee with the Hawaiʻi District Attorney’s Office and in some cases, a Governor’s Office employee.

Although the uniform is made from modern materials, the colors represent a blending of the historic uniforms from the State entities which merged to form the Sheriff Division.
