Concertmaster to be violinist, conductor in Maui show as orchestra returns from hiatus
Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Ignace “Iggy” Jang will be the solo violinist and later serve as conductor in performances this weekend with the Maui Chamber Orchestra at the ʻĪao Theatre. The Orchestra is emerging from a two-year hiatus prompted by the COVID pandemic.
Plaque Honoring Promoter Tom Moffatt Installed at Waikīkī Shell
Mayor Rick Blangiardi held a ceremony to dedicate a plaque at the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell honoring legendary concert promoter and entrepreneur, Tom Moffatt. Moffatt passed away in 2016 after a six-decade career promoting events in the islands.
