Free President’s Day concert by Hawai‘i Youth Symphony features Keola and Moanalani Beamer

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will host a free President’s Day concert featuring Hawai‘i Youth Symphony’s top orchestra, Youth Symphony I, on Monday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m. in the Castle Theater. The event is open to the public, but pre-registration is required online.

Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony to receive $50K grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

The Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony has been approved for a $50,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The grant will support the Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony’s annual Pacific Music Institute summer program, strategic planning initiatives for board members, faculty, and staff, and a neighbor island performance tour for young musicians.

Recent Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony concerts on Maui benefit students, residents

The performances marked the first time since the pandemic that an HYS concert tour has returned to Maui. It also marked the Maui debut of Maestro Joseph Stepec, HYS Director of Orchestral Activities and conductor for the performances.
