Update: Kahului eatery gets conditional pass following complaint inspection

The health department is requiring the food establishment to take corrective actions before allowing the establishment to reopen to the public. A followup inspection is scheduled for Nov. 6.

DOH Allows Eateries to Resume Operations After Pest Treatment at Food Court

Two restaurants at the food court of Whaler’s Village in Kāʻanapali were granted permission to reopen after followup inspections were conducted by the state Department of Health.

10,000 Inspections of Food Establishments Completed

The recent inspections covered about 6,000 such establishments on Oʻahu, 1,800 on Hawaiʻi Island, 1,700 in Maui County, and 690 on Kauaʻi.
