House reaffirms commitment to providing safe access to reproductive care

The House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 1 SD2 for third reading Friday, aimed at ensuring women in Hawai‘i have access to safe reproductive health care following the US Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson. With the bill passing third reading in both chambers, the measure now heads to Governor Josh Green’s desk for his signature.

Hawaiʻi House adopts rule changes to improve transparency, standards of conduct

The House of Representatives adopted rule changes in the Rules of the House of Representatives of the 32nd legislature, including the operating procedures for the House Committee on Standards of Conduct, and the House Administrative and Financial Manual.

Maui House Members Secure Committee Assignments

Maui lawmakers secured leadership roles including: Justin Woodson who will serve as Chair of the Education Committee; Angus McKelvey and Tina Wildberger as Chair and Vice Chair of the Government Reform Committee respectively; Lynn DeCoite as Vice Chair of the Higher Education and Technology Committee; and Troy Hashimoto as Vice Chair of the Housing Committee.
