Henriette has Peaked, Continued Weakening Forecast

Henriette has now weakened to a tropical storm overnight with maximum sustained winds dropping to 70 mph, according to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center.

Henriette Strengthens Intensity, Steady Weakening Forecast

As of 5 a.m., the Central Pacific Hurricane Center had tracked the system at 1100 miles ESE of Hilo and 1195 miles ESE of Kahului.

Hurricane Henriette Maintains Strength; Gil Downgraded

Henriette was last located 1345 miles ESE of Hilo, and 1,440 miles ESE of Kahului, according to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center.

Henriette Strengthens to Hurricane, Gil is Tropical Depression

Tropical Depression Gil is now located about 975 miles ESE of Hilo, and has dropped from a storm back down to a depression with sustained winds near 35 mph, according to the NWS & CPCH.

Storm Watch: Gil Weakens While Henriette Strengthens

Forecasters are tracking two systems in the Pacific. Tropical Depression Gil, which is closer to the Hawaiian Islands, has weakened and was about 1,175 miles ESE of Hilo, Hawaii.
