Since the tournament to Maui in 1999, the event and host organizations have donated a total of more than $5.6 million to Hawaiʻi community charities.

With the Hyundai Tournament of Champions a little over a week away, tournament officials are gearing up by highlighting each of the qualifiers for the winners-only event. This latest installment looks at the road to Kapalua for Bubba Watson, Danny Lee, Scott Piercy, Zach Johnson and Troy Merritt.

The Hyundai Tournament of Champions has announced that the 2015 event has raised $341,000 for Maui charities. The tournament and host organizations have donated a grand total of over $5.3 million to Maui community charities since its move to Maui in 1999.

The Hyundai Tournament of Champions features the PGA TOUR’s best and brightest as they take on Kapalua’s famed Plantation Course on Maui.

Local non-profit organizations are invited to participate in ticket sales for the upcoming Hyundai Tournament of Champions event, and receive 100% of their net proceeds through the Golf for Maui Charities program.

The 2012 edition of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions raised more than $277,000 for local charities on Maui. A reception was held today to celebrate the funding distribution, from the tournament proceeds.

In an effort to give back to the community hosting the tournament, organizers will select six local charities as the primary beneficiaries of this year’s tournament proceeds.

Golfers and spectators will be treated to a special opening ceremony for the 2012 Hyundai Tournament of Champions on Friday, January 6.

Tournament officials say Golf for Maui Charities is simply an opportunity for our tournaments to work with more charitable organizations, and have an even greater impact on the local non-profit community.
