This full speed training exercise on March 20, involved an evolving scenario with a missing swimmer, and overdue (and later reported sunk) boat traveling between Lānaʻi and South Maui. 

The County of Maui announced that numerous County, State and federal agencies will be participating in a joint search and rescue exercise this week. The most visible activities will take place Wednesday, March 20 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Kīhei Boat Ramp and in the offshore waters between South Maui and the island of Lānaʻi.

Members of the Maui Police Department will conduct emergency preparedness exercises at King’s Cathedral in Kahului on Aug 5, and ʻĪao School in Wailuku on Aug 7

Members of the Maui Police Department and school administration and faculty from Lokelani Intermediate School and Lahainaluna High School will be participating in a one-day Joint Agency Emergency Preparedness Exercise at their respective schools on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

The Coordinated Agency Emergency Preparedness Exercise will run from approximately 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Doris Todd Christian Academy in Pāʻia.

The exercise will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at the Kula Elementary School located at 5000 Kula Highway in Kula, from approximately 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Members of the Maui Police Department and Kīhei Charter School, will be participating in a one day, Joint Agency Emergency Preparedness Exercise today, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.
