Brown Water Advisory issued for Kamaʻole II in South Maui

A Brown Water Advisory has been issued at Kamaʻole II in South Maui. The Department recommends staying out of the water for 48-72 hours after the rain has stopped and after the beach has received full sunshine. 

New beach parking program that charges visitors, prioritizes residents to roll out next year in South Maui

The new program will charge visitors $10 a day, $50 a week and $150 a month to park at Kīhei beaches, with priority parking for locals on weekends and holidays.

The male snorkeler was found by lifeguards floating in the water approximately 20 yards from shore at Kamaʻole II, according to Maui police
