New dates set for MEO’s Kamp Kaohi for Molokaʻi youth
Maui Economic Opportunity Youth Services invites Molokaʻi sixth to 12th graders to the 4th Kamp Kaohi ‒ on its new dates of May 1 and 2 ‒ for an overnight of fun while learning and discovering the inner strength to handle the difficulties of teenage life on the island.

MEO board volunteers celebrated for giving back to the community
MEO assisted 20,365 individuals/families touching nearly 43,000 lives in the last fiscal year, MEO CEO Debbie Cabebe said. MEO buses on Maui, (including East Maui), Moloka‘i, and Lāna‘i, provided 270,555 rides for 5,774 unduplicated passengers.
Molokaʻi youth join MEO’s overnight Kamp Kāohi
During the second Maui Economic Opportunity-run Kamp Kāohi, 23 Moloka‘i youth participated in games and activities that highlighted the negative impacts of alcohol, tobacco and bullying and learned about their “sources of strength.”
Kamp Kāohi on Moloka‘i trains youth leaders, offers fun activities
The goal of the camp was to build youth leaders in their school and community for the prevention of harmful behaviors. The camp also was an opportunity to recruit youth for the Kāohi after-school and spring- and summer-break programs.
