Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami will deliver his second State of the County Address via video, which will be uploaded to the County of Kaua‘i website and Facebook page by noon on Friday, March 13.

The ‘Āina Pono Hawai‘i State Farm to School Program celebrated a milestone on Kauaʻi with ‘Ele‘ele Elementary School becoming the first Hawai‘i Department of Education school to officially serve kalo or taro in its food service menu.

A 20-ft container filled with over 2,000 items donated by Maui residents arrived on Kaua’i to offer aid as the island recovers from recent flooding.

“Renewable energy is one of the key components to a resilient future,” said Mayor Arakawa.
