The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2022 Gintong Pamana Leadership Awards to recognize members of the Maui Filipino community with outstanding achievements, demonstrations of leadership, professional excellence and service to the community.
Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Honors Outstanding Leaders & Scholars
The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the prestigious Gintong Pamana Leadership Awards: Glenn Casil, director of operations at the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas; and David “Kawika” Mattos, supervisor at Maui Family Support Services.
Funding Sought For Design of Paukukalo Boys & Girls Club
The club currently uses the Paukukalo Community Center, but struggles with space constraints and facility limitations. The Boys & Girls Club recently signed a 35 year lease agreement with the Department of Hawaiian Homelands to utilize the open gym space next to the Paukukalo Community Center that consists of two basketball hoops.

Here are some images RJ Kessler captured at the weigh-ins tonight (at the Kahului Ale House) for War on the Valley Isle. Come see these boys bang tomorrow night, Friday, July 1 at the War Memorial Gym in Wailuku. Fights start at 6pm, doors open at 5. Tickets will be available until noon tomorrow at West Side Vibes, Uncle Jesse’s Wailuku, Mid Pacific Tattoo Lahaina, Urban City Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center for $25. Otherwise you can purchase at the door for $35.
