The winner of the Largest Tilapia of the Day, “Tilapa-Whoppa” award (for kids 2-5 years old), went to Kamanaʽo Basques for a fish that weighed in at 328 grams.

The application period opens today for the popular Keiki Tilapia Fishing Tournament hosted by Maui Electric Company and the Kā‘anapali Golf Course. Registration is limited to 600 participants and will close when the cap is met or on the Monday, August 17 deadline, whichever comes first.
Winner Winner Carp For Dinner: Tilapia Tournament Results
Makanani Kahaialii reeled in a carp that was too big for the tournament scales, and possibly the largest fish ever caught in the tournament. She returned the fish to the pond and took home one of three prizes awarded for the Surprise Catch of the Day.
