Department of Water Supply set to seek community input on water planning

As part of implementing its 2022 Water Use & Development plan for Maui Island, the Department of Water Supply will hold community meetings in six regions to assess water needs and to facilitate discussions about drought, reliable water supply and wildfire risk.

Unsafe Water Advisory lifted for area L-6B in Lahaina

The Unsafe Water Advisory for Lahaina was amended to remove area L-6B, including properties primarily along Honoapiʻilani Highway and Ainakea Road, from Wahikuli Road to Kaniau Road. Water serving buildings and homes in area L-6B is declared safe for unrestricted use effective June 12, 2024.

Stufflebean and Landgraf round out director appointments under Bissen administration

Mayor-elect Bissen completed his director appointments with the selection of John Stufflebean to lead the Department of Water Supply, James “Kimo” Landgraf to serve as deputy director.
