Mahi Pono announces first commercial harvest of Hawaiʻi-grown mandarins
A portion of the initial harvest will be distributed to select schools across the state, helping provide Hawaiʻi’s keiki with fresh, locally grown fruit. Toby Taniguchi, president and chief operating officer of KTA Super Stores and a longtime business and community leader on Hawaiʻi Island has been appointed to the board of directors of Hawaiian Electric. Taniguchi’s term on the Hawaiian Electric board begins on Friday, May 7, 2021.
