Mana Mentors and the West Maui Recreational Committee announce the upcoming West Maui Recreation Expo, taking place Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kapalua Cart Barn (1000 Kapalua Drive). 

The Lahaina Yacht Club hosts its 35th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, with a 7:30 a.m. best ball scramble and shotgun start. Checkin starts at 6:30 a.m.

The Lahaina Yacht Club hosts the 44th Annual Keiki Fishing Tournament, happening Nov. 9, 2024 at the Kāʻanapali Golf Course pond. The tournament completely sold out in under 90 minutes, according to organizers.

Maui resident Glade Feike woke up this morning to a milestone reached by only .0004% of the world’s 7.8 billion people: Her 100th birthday. She attributed her longevity to “Living on Maui.”

The 12th Annual Lahaina Town Clean Up took place on Saturday, Sept. 24 along the streets, harbors and beaches of Lahaina Town from Puamana to the Māla Boat Ramp.

The event is the largest junior sailing regatta ever to be held in Maui waters and reflects the growth of junior sailing in Hawaiʻi.

Double-Take won the 2012 Victoria-Maui Yacht Race between Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and Lahaina Harbor last night at approximately 9 p.m.

A salvage operation to remove a 35-foot sailboat from the reef outside the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor was completed on Monday.

Surfers and boaters are asked to stay clear of the removal operation that begins tomorrow. Parker Marine will secure heavy lines to the vessel and its mast, and by afternoon begin pulling them in with a winch to the nearby Kamehameha Iki beach park.

An insurance company was on scene yesterday trying to stabilize the vessel with lines. The Molokai Ferry reportedly offered to assist in efforts to pull the vessel free during high tide.
