The Aloha Mākena Foundation, in partnership with Mākena Golf & Beach Club, present the “Lau Ke Aloha: Hawaiʻi Games & Kinolau Native Species Art Creation Day” on Wednesday, June 25 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Mākena’s Hale Pili. This free event provides a unique opportunity for Maui residents to enjoy Hawaiian games and to create works of art celebrating the island’s native species under the guidance of local artists.
Lau Ke Aloha invites Maui residents to celebrate native species through art
The Aloha Makena Foundation, in partnership with Mākena Golf & Beach Club, present the “Lau Ke Aloha: Kinolau Native Species Art Creation Day” on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mākena’s Hale Pili. This free event provides a unique opportunity for Maui residents to create and submit artworks celebrating the island’s native species under the guidance of local artists.
Watershed Fundraising Farm Dinner at Mākena Golf & Beach Club, Sept. 7
Mākena Golf & Beach Club will host Ulu Mai he Wai, a fundraising dinner event honoring local organizations, Kula Community Watershed Alliance, Uhiwai O Haleakalā, and Mauna Kahālāwai Watershed Partnership, for their work towards supporting Mauiʻs watersheds. All proceeds from the event will benefit the honorees. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at Mākena Golf & Beach Club’s Nāulu Farm.
Free Lei Workshop Offered For Nurses, Caregivers
Participants will create koko, floral hair accessories traditionally worn by female hula dancers.
New Program Aims to Perpetuate Traditional Hawaiian Voyaging
