Earthjustice files lawsuit to protect sea turtles, sharks, whales
Earthjustice filed suit today on behalf of the Conservation Council for Hawai‘i and native Hawaiian cultural practitioner Mike Nakachi seeking protection of a host of threatened and endangered Pacific Ocean species from harm.
Recommendations Planned for Sea Turtle Interactions with Hawai‘i Swordfish Fishery
National Marine Fisheries Service: The swordfish fishery is not jeopardizing the continued existence of these sea turtles and authorizes the accidental hooking and subsequent release of 21 leatherbacks and 36 loggerheads.
